I first got to meet Joann during her over the phone consultation. Joann was a little nervous about her fast approaching Elopement Ceremony to her fiance Mikkel. She had a lot to do before the big day, which was only about 2 weeks away!
You see, Mikkel is in the Navy and he is always being shipped to one place or another. Well, Mikkel was finally going to be home for a little while and Joann and Mikkel wanted to tie the knot before he was shipped out again. They found a little chapel nestled in the Del Luz Mountains and knew that they wanted to be married.
Joann was concerned she wouldn't have enough time to pull everything together for her and Mikkel's Elopment Story at Fontainbleau in Murrieta. I reassured her that her big day would be perfect and that I was there to help in every way I possibly could.
Over the next couple of days, I was able to offer Joann advise on where to stay when she was in Temecula Valley, because she was driving up from San Diego. I also got her in touch with an amazing local hair and makeup artist, Liela Roth! She was all set all she was in need of was her dress, which had already been purchased from Anthropology and was on it's way!
The big day finally arrives! I text Joann in the morning and she's busy getting her hair and makeup done by in her hotel room. Jeromy and I end up meeting Joann at our community club house so she could get dressed for your wedding due to her venue having some unforeseen issues. Once we all arrive at the venue, Joann and her beautiful daughter are ready to make their big entrance, but not before I was able to capture the two of them being silly with each other!
Thankfully Mikkel was able to get dressed at the venue and didn't see Joann before their ceremony. Apparently ties aren't really the easiest to tie when you are nervous, but thankfully we had Jeromy with him, he's practically a pro!
Joann made a very beautiful bride and we could tell by the look on Mikkel's face, he was the happiest man on earth that day! He couldn't stop smiling and practically blushing while she walked towards him as he was standing at the alter The two exchanged personal wedding vows with each other, which had us all a little chocked up. Joann did shed a few tears and she read her vows to Mikkel and Mikkel got chocked up while reading his to Joann. We stayed a little while to take a few portraits of the bride and groom while they danced under the oak tree at the venue while Joann's daughter rolled in the grass and watched her mommy dance with her prince!
The two make such a stunning bride and groom, wouldn't you agree!?
We wish them all the very best on their marriage and the blending of their family.
